I am so torn between the Z70V and the A71V!! I really like to play games :*o( ... why oh why can't the Z70V have a 128mb card?? in every other respect it is better than the A71V. Asus is being cruel.

It's simple. If the Z70v had the 6600 or X700 the z71v wouldn't sell. They are keeping all their models alive.

X600 will work fine. You can get good framerates in medium settings on HL2.

Is the video card in it upgradable to a 128mb in the future?
nope. very few laptops have upgradable gpus.

Is the z70v really that much better looking than the z71v? I've looked at pictures of both and I personally I think the z71v looks better. The z70v looks very "sharp", the edges that is, while the z71v has nice curved corners.

the z71v looks pretty nice.. the curves and the material + color makes it look kinda non-pro and more plasticish.. the z70v looks very professional and doesnt' give you that cheap look at all..

I prefer the single color look of the Z70v better than the Z71v's 2-tone, but I like the Z71v's look, too.
