hey,
My mic doesn't seem to be picking up nething when i put my mic in it. I have tried other mics and it still doesn't work. I have a 9300 60gb, 512mb so yea thanks in advance

might wanna call dell on that one,prolly broken,or make sure your mic in your volume control isnt on mute.

Volume Control>Options>Properties>Adjust volume for recording

yea i trieed that it doesn't help but thanks. I think i am going to call dell. will it be covered by waranty

You did enable mic boost and try to record with sound recorder didn't you?

If you did, probably bad jack, if not try that first

my mic works only when the plug is halfway out

maybe there are a few variations of the plug ?
