Posting two rooms away from my accesspoint right now.
Note: Getting it to work with DHCP was not for me ; static IP w/ WEP. If you're new to this, what you'll be using as your friends are:
ifconfig ( for address assignment )
route ( for setting your gateway address )
iwconfig ( for setting your wep key, SSID, other wireless particulars )
iwlist ( for checking your diags )
But, it does work. :-)
