I have a sager 8880 with Smart Link 56K Voice Modem.
I’m trying to get Knoppix ( a bootable Linux Distro ) to log onto the internet.
I’m a Newbie to Linux and am lost about what I need to do to get online with Knoppix.
I downloaded the Linux drivers from http://www.smlink.com/content.aspx?id=132
I have no idea which driver to use or if I even have the right one that will support the Smart Link 56K Voice Modem on my 8880.
.
If anyone is a Linux Guru: Can you tell me if I can save the drivers straight to the ‘Live Knoppix 3.9 CD’ and somehow write a file path to tell Knoppix to look there and use that drive to connect the modem to my ISP.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
