New. And I mean within the hour. I just thought I should share this with my fellow Dell owners who reported problems with their wireless connection.

https://secure.filesanywhere.com/xEL...BE%7E%9D%9D%A0

This link will last only a week, so if somebody could mirror this on a public server, that would be nice. If nobdody does, I will.

What card are these for?? the 2200bg?

Doesn't Intel host it itself on the website?
Or this is from Dell?

RapidShare is one place to share too

Thats brilliant, just what i have been looking for. I had the last generic 9.01 driver and it didnt really fix my issue with my wireless dropping, but this really has done the trick.

This download has made my birthday worth waking up for

Yep. A fellow from Australia was calling Intel about his card and they told him they just released new test drivers because they are getting a lot of calls on the issue and he decided to share the link he was given since he himself already downloaded the drivers.

Installed these drivers on my I8200 Lappy and they work great. I was using 8.1.0.26 cuz they were the only ones that stayed at 54.0 mbps.

So I guess Intel will eventually officially release these drivers? And post them on their website?

This is an ongoing release series that will eventually result in an official release. I believe this is Intel's answer to the flurry of complaints people are making about their cards, so they've got people working hard on the problem. Makes sense since I'm sure Intel doesnt want the reputation of its Centrino technology to be tainted, especially considering its the most widely sold wireless solution at the moment.

NO, this is for the 2915ABG, NOT the 2200BG...

I am using the 9.0.1.9 version from the Intel site and they work fine, fixing the problems I experienced with the Dell 9.0.0.61 version. I don't know whether 9.0.2.0 is necessary or not.

I think these will work for the 2200 also as the release notes (found after it is uncompacted) state its for the 2915 and 2200.

Well, as far as I know, all of Intel's previous driver builds are the same for the 2915 and the 2200 - so although it says 2915 in the release notes...I am sure that these will work for the 2200 (ie they installed on my 2200 without any issues and seem to run quite well...but I'll flex its wireless muscles today.)

OH, sorry my bad, i just saw a big 2915ABG at the top of the release notes so i wanted to make it clear. So what i meant to say was, it is for the 2915ABC TOO

My wifi light always goes off, yet my connection remain excellent or v good.. Using Fn+F2 i can disable and re-enable the wifi and the light goes back on, but after a short amount of time goes off again.

Anyone else experience this?
