@Bahama - I think the Dell section is starting this because the AW users neg rep them for badmouthing AW.

I also have gotten bad rep for merely pointing out a month ago that the 6800Ultra in the XPS2 was better than the 6800Go in the 7700

I did bad mouth AW when they had that completely onesided comparison of the XPS2 and the 7700 when the 7700 didnt have the 6800 ultra

They compared the 800 MHz FSB of the P4 to the 533 of the PM completely disregarding the PM in the XPS2
They said the XPS2 DIDNT have a 256 MB PCI-E Card when it in fact does
They said the XPS2 DOESNT use DDR-II 533 Ram when it in fact DOES
They Mentioned the 2 Firewire Ports in the 7700 and the 1 in the XPS2, but conviently left off the number of USB ports, 6 in the XPS2 and 4 in the 7700
Naturally they left out the fact that the XPS2 had the Ultra until they got the Ultra months later

Alienware basically lied about the XPS2 and also skewed data in order to make their product look superior, which it in fact wasn't.

Alienware humilated themselfs with that, and for the correction of mistakes no one should receive negative rep points

I cant believe that comparison is still up, I think Dell needs to contact Alienware and tell them to fix it or smack alienware with a lawsuit for falicious claims, that is ridiculous

That's unacceptable. I have nothing against AW or any other brand, but I don't worship and brand either.

We do not haveto bad mouth AW to get negative rep points from AW people... all we have to do is point out facts about AW and/or point out something might be better than their product. They attack even if we say something within the Dell forum.

What dell products has everyone owned?
I also have their Pocket DJ (5 GB Music Player) and it is pretty cool!

hey, so ppl from other sections of the forum can actually give u negative rep?? i dnt get how it works. but neway, im getting the 9300. should be hear 2moro. SO IM IN WOT EVER THIS IS!! neway, y they all hating on dell?? wen i first thought of buying a laptop, i got recommended either IBM or Dell cos they r like the business type of notebooks and perform very well and r built very well. so y all the dissing?

Wel compared to the iPod Mini it is almost the EXACT same size. iPod Mini Comes in a 4 and 6 GB model, the Dell DJ comes in 5 GB.
