well its an 8 hour day and 6 hours on a friday then every 3 weekends i do 8 hours saturday and sunday. I get 5 weeks paid leave a year (25 days and 8 public holidays) so i think i worked it out right.

You're right of course, i think the whole christmas period should be public holiday not just 2-3 days of it, thats 5 days of my holiday entitlement right there and last year i had to work most of it.

I usually book the days between Christamas and New Years to make it a nice break,

I get 19 days Vacation a year, 10 Company holidays including 2 floaters,

My Wife who just started a Government job, gets 15 days vac, 5 Personal days, 10 Sick days (which Gov't people use like vacation), and 10 Holidays. and there was 5 more days for something else.

now I know why everyone loves working for he Gov't lol

You both are lucky. I have never had a good vacation time job.

it was like that when i was contracting for the gov, loved every minute of it.

hell there was a parade downtown one day. they gave us a half day with pay to go watch it just because....

you missed that, and a rep reset, and a bunch of other stuff. the new layout is actually pretty good once you get used to it. alot easier on the eyes.

I have gotten used to it also. I agree it is easy on the eyes.
