eVGA 780i is up and running(well) with Q9550. Temps are still a little far apart(about 6 degree's between 0,1 and 2,3) But I think its OK. Stress tested and running for over 2 hours with no BSOD's.

Feal a little stupid that I didn't figure out the Q9550 680i compatability thing before I went through all this but hey livin's learnin, right! plus I now have two good desktop systems... still need a laptop though

Two good desktops are better than one. When do you plan on getting a laptop?

CPU temps are probably OK, what was the Max ?

Sometimes these little compatibility problems are not readily known, and we usually find out after the fact.

I had my fair Share over the years lol

Sooooooooo hot outside (around 100F... again).

Had to walk 25mins and back to get some groceries... not fun!
