Yup... getting close to the darkest day of the year...

Speaking of my birthday, is anyone going to see 2012 on Friday?

Makeshift chicken parmigiana for me tonight (chicken nuggets and spicy pasta sauce - no cheese, though). Weirdly enough my pay was a day early because of Remembrance Day (the bank shows it posted on the 12th... tomorrow) lol

Haven't seen a paycheque in years. They just deposit the whole month salary in the account between 1-3 of the month. The salary statement always come on the 20th of the month though.

...and wouldn't you know it: I head to the liquor store to pick up a bottle of that Ukrainian dessert wine I like so much, and it's no longer there!

Oh well, picked up some "Croft" sherry. Your Taylor Floodgate port was there, too, qhn; 10 year for $35 CAN, 20 year for $68

Same here. In my many jobs, I have never received an actual cheque. It's always been directly deposited to my account. I get a statement/pay stub the next day... by that time, the money is usually spent... and I get paid weekly lol

They are even expensive over there. Ouch. I will try to negotiate with my Auntie in Québec and see if she can stock it for me, so next time I can pick them up when I visit her.
