Back in 1995 I was stationed in Sacramento CA (Active Duty back in those days) and got sent on a temporoary assignment to Carswell AFB (It was a Naval Reserve base, but we still had a small AF unit there) Anyway, I drove from CA to TX, and I remember driving along I-20 near Midland TX when a nasty storm was brewing. I looked up and saw a funnel cloud forming almost right above my head. I took off like a bat out of Hades and cleared the area before the tornado touched down. Well I get to Ft. Worth (Carswell area) and get settled into my room. That same tornado-producing system had caught up with me and proceeded to unleash a fury on us. I had horrible hail damage to my car, and I remember this very well- There was one car that did not have a scratch on it: A 1957 chevy (Pristine condition too) Boy they don't make them like that anymore.
