I've had the current system (see sig) and an Inspiron 8000 P3 700 w. 384 Ram and a whopping 20 GB hard drive (hey, it was big at the time....) Had a 14.1" screen at 1400x1050 and whatever ATI graphics was going at the time. It did it's job, and now a computer-allergic artist I know is using it for school work.

just a quick question...if i only have 1 green dot, i would be better served to give rep points to those with the same amount??

just wanted to know so that i can maximize the utility of the rep points since we all are limited to a certain amount per a 24 hour period.

YES. Your points will make a much more of a difference to the others with like amounts!!!

10 reps per 24 hr period. Sometimes you can split the difference and give a few out every hour, but you still can't exceed 10 per 24 hours.

I thot it worked that if you were giving Rep to someone with less than you, it was worth a lot, but if you give it to someone with more than you it was pretty much worthless? ie. if Speedde423 gave some to STLee, STLee would get a bunch, but if it went the other way SPeedde423 would get bupkis.

that's not entirely correct. you just get less rep from someone with a lower reputation than you then you would from someone with a higher rep than you. if the difference is extreme, then it appears as grey (I think)...

You had it correct. But what I meant was the relative amout given will be greater if you give to those with about the same rep. If I give out to y'all it would be worth a lot, but to me yours isn't worth much. And Djembe is right about it appearing grey at the extreme.
