Good morning, DRT. I took my wife to her friends house. They are moving a bed, computer center, and a few other things to Houston today. I could not go because I am getting the truck worked on today.

Same here in Bedford. The sun is out. It looks to be a very nice day.

I recieved my system yesterday and it was a huge headache.

I called UPS on Thursday to tell them not to send it out for delivery, I wasn't going to home, instead make it available for pick up at the depot, I'd be in around 4. Well as I posted it was a bit of a headache getting to the person that could take of this but ok fine.

Yesterday AM I get a call, "well we know that you called yesterday and all but your package was put on the truck anyway and we couldn't get to it to take it off before the driver left".
o...k...well...I can probably be home as early as 2 pm can you have the driver drop it off after then? "I'll call the driver and I'll find out about when he'll be in your area and I'll call you back."

30 minutes to an hour later...

"well the driver will be out of your area by then, but if you want you can come pick it up at the depot, it'll be here between 7:30 and 9. They close up at 9 so if you don't get here before then, you won't be able to pick it up until Monday, we're not open on the weekends."

Get to the depot at 7:23.
"Well the driver is in but the package hasn't been brought over yet, did you call and tell them that you'd be in to pick it up today?" Yes I did. Actually I called yesterday to tell them not to send it out for delivery at all, but that doesn't seem to have worked out. But yes I spoke with some lady today and she said to come in between between 7:30 and 9.

ermmm. excuse me (at this point the guy who waited on me when I came in is gone) I've been waiting here for my package for an hour they told me it would be here at 7:30 earlier today. "well it looks like it's taking them a while to process the trucks." According to my tracking info my package was sorted out of the truck at 6:33. "I'm sure it'll be over here soon."

9:00....a truck load comes over my package is not on board....
They guy driving the truck back and forth between the shipping center and the customer center (across the street) gets the address of all the people still waiting for his last run of the night.

9:40 he still hasn't come back. Ladies behind the desk are now going frantic trying to figure out why he hasn't come back so they get on the phone. He couldn't find the one for my address but he's on the way over with all the others.

Well where's mine? "We don't know we're trying to sort that out now." "mumble mumble...will call...mumble mumble...6:33...mumble mumble....Monday pick-up..." "Sir? are you sure you told them that you'd be in tonight to pick it up?" Yes I'm quite positive (pull out my touch pro 2 with the tracking info already on the screen) you see right here in the tracking information comments it says "customer will be in tonight for pick-up"...

meanwhile....a truck load comes over my package is not on board....

"well, someone thought that you weren't going to be coming in until monday so your package moved to a holding area for will-call Monday"
OK wait a minute here. Why didn't the jack-ass who waited on me when I came in here 2 hours ago check on that? "I don't know. He should have." You've got to be ****ing kidding me.

"So your package is in a holding area and the driver is on his way to get it now" Isn't this the holding area?

"Well, no it was put in a different holding area." Well since this is the place that everyone comes to pick things up wouldn't it be a great idea to attach the "holding area" to this place? "Here's a 1-800 number please call and complain to them." What? "I can't do anything for you, call them and complain maybe you can get your money back. I'd be really pissed off if I were you right now."

9:50 the driver comes in with my package, get home at like 10:15 stopped by the taco bell to get some food, they ****ed up my order in spite of me repeating it 3 times. Was so drained and pissed off that I couldn't even open my new computer and just went to bed.

Openned it up this morning. Am now re-installing system software. Got my new HDD in was really easy. Have a lot of pics, (except I forgot to take pics of the back of the system open when I was putting in the HDD) will post an unboxxing and review when I get it up and running.
