Reps Out To The DRT most to pd
Just stopping in. Thanks all for the tons of rep and boosting my green dots! Mind me asking, does the rep stop after you get all of the green circles/squares? Or are there purples out there, just MIA so far? hah.

My day has been a painful run-around. Got news today from my Ford Dealer that my car still doesn't have a VIN, it's been 6 weeks now. He expects the car will be in, around 6 weeks from now :-x. So it's up to me now to decide whether to opt out and pick up another mustang on a lot somewhere around that isn't exactly what i want, or to just wait it out. What a pain

I'm shocked that they were so generous with warranty work like that haha. It seems like these days all you hear are horror stories about poorly upheld warranty situations.

I actually went in not long ago because the trunk of the Camry got flooded with water somehow. Took it in, and although neither me or my mom are hard on the car, they blamed it on us and said we cut the seal around the opening. Ended up with a smelly and mess of a trunk

Good evening, DRT! We had a nice Mexican food dinner. I also walked the puppy and did a cardio
workout.

The green dots and squares are it unfortunately. How does a car not get a VIN?

A wet trunk is terrible.

Mostly because the car technically doesn't exist yet I only receive the VIN once the car is officially slated for production, which sadly hasn't happened yet. Definitely hoping that I receive a VIN next week.

Very true. Currently it still smells pretty terrible. I'm thinking about finding a mild shampoo of some sort to wash the mats more thoroughly.

How are you getting a pre-released car.?

Sounds like a productive day! I haven't eaten Mexican food for quite some time. I'm hoping to find a good restaurant somewhere near the new home soon

Good luck with it. I suggest a vinegar soulution.

I did a custom order on the car, since the color I wanted for the car is near impossible to find around here at least. I'm not sure how familiar you are with the process, but essentially you put in an order of the exact configuration you want to Ford, and it goes into the line of orders from all Ford dealers. Then it usually takes about 2 weeks for them to "pick up" the order which means it's actually going into assembly at the plant (which is when you get the VIN). And from there it's about 3-4 weeks until it's out the other end of the plant.

I have had Mexican food north of here. It was no good. I guess that the southwest is
best for it.

I wait until cars are way past that point in production process.

Understandably, it definitely becomes easier to get solid deals later on in production. Unfortunately in my situation, the older generation of mustangs had vastly worse engines than the 2011s. And being that I'm in need of my own car, I was sorta forced into buying it when the price isn't the most wonderful

Good morning, DRT. A hot day in store.

Most of my rep here.
