ok started giving some reps.

edit: may i also suggest that we give the other section members a taste of their own medicine next time they start passing out neg. reps. we bunch together and throw neg rep bombs at them.

Was that sarcastic or not Delta? Anyhow it's not too bad of an idea, it gets the lower repped people together to build their rep up, and then after they get their rep up they'll become able to contribute to the big rep thread better.

Be sure when you people give out reps that you sign them. I've gotten a few grey and 1 green and I have no idea who they came from since they weren't signed.

Green gives you points, Grey doesn't count for any points. If you look in the summary I posted here earlier you'll see.

Two things, SIGN rep, otherwise you won't know who gave it. And your rep won't count until you get to 100 posts or so. So while we appreciate the thought, it will show up as grey until you get to 100 posts.

I gave you a "good rep" the other day when you said that you got a "bad rep" in a thread by saying that you were "satisfied" with your XPS G2. Remember that thread. It was titled "Regrets".....Anyone have any regrets over buying an XPS G2. You posted:

Ok y'all, give rep to each other, build y'all's reps up. While I do appreciate the thought, only a few here can even affect my status. BUT you can affect each other's status. i.e. I have about 30,000 rep points, and I think my reps count about 100 each. Most of you here have less than 100 points, and your rep will only count the number of green dots you have, so most will only count 1 point.

So while I can greatly affect your status, your rep doesn't raise my level much. BUT if you add your rep to someone at about the same level, it will help them much more relatively. i.e. adding one point to 30,000 doesn't make as much difference as adding one to 10.

So basically, use your reps to build each other up for now. I really don't need it, but thanks for the thought. I'll still drop by and rep occasionally, mainly to those who get dropped unnecessarily.

I guess the question is - does you post count go up for EVERY new post you make, or for posts in new threads only (threads you have not posted in before).
