Seems a little quiet here...hope you guys are having a fun weekend!
I turn the big 25 tomorrow (well technically Monday but celebrating it tomorrow) although sadly no birthday present because the courier Dell use don't ship up to the Highlands daily! It's a bit daft as the PDA came from Holland, all the way through England and has been sitting in the middle of Scotland for three days because the extra 150 miles up to Inverness is remote compared to coming across three countries. Plus Dell dropped the price by 61 pounds after I ordered it, so I've bought a second one (and return/cancel one of them) at the lower price to ensure I get my savings.
To add to the fun, on driving up last night from Edinburgh to home in Inverness, I unfortunately thumped a rabbit with the car. I had a check under the car this morning to see if there were any mess left there and noticed my driver's side front wheel was white on the inside - despite being a full 8mm tread on the wheel on the very inside it was completely bald. Got a bit of a shock so I whisked it down to the tyre garage to have it looked at, apparently the alignment is way out and the car has basically shouldered two completely good tyres because of it. So I walked away 142 pounds the poorer after paying 111 pounds last week to get the windscreen wipers fixed. It's really annoying having to replace tyres like that but I'm so relieved I checked under the car (the only way I would have seen the wear), when I actually saw the wheel removed the car I could see just how bad the damage was to it...it didn't look like it had long before it would just rupture completely and given most of my driving is on higher speed roads it would have likely caused a nast accident. Just to finish it off, I received my renewal quote for the insurance which expires in two weeks...sigh...here is the money trap itself, for once it's actually clean:
Don't know why I bother to wash it as it's just as dirty again within a couple of days. And the reason I bought it:
Anyway, enough doom and gloom, I am hoping to have a good day tomorrow and hope everyone else is having a good weekend.
