I see the GT core speed as 400mhz and the GTX as 430mhz.

30MHZ and 4 pipes more for the GTX...

If you upgrade on a regular basis, go for the GT, I don't think you'll see much of a difference between the 2 with todays games, but if you plan on keeping it for more than a year or so, spend the extra 100 bucks.

i agree with nate. The clock isnt really going to do much, as its easily overclockable. I dont know how easy its going to be to unlock those extra 4 pipes on the gt tho. BUT, seeing as your going to have pci-e now, which will be around for some time, you could easily get a new vid card. If it were my, i would get the gtx, only because i know i would regret at some point down the road. Either way, there both insane cards.

Yeah I just found out that it has more than four pipelines. If I'm spending $400+ on a video card it better last more than a year!

I was just saying that right now, in todays games you won't notice $100 dollars worth of difference between the 2, but in a year or so from now, the extra pipes will start to make more of a difference. Actually I said the same thing a year ago about the 6800 ultra and the 6800 GT, and the 6800GT still works just fine for me, in fact I still hardly notice a difference between it and the 7800GTX in the games that I play.

Haha, I've got my first negative rep for this:

It's blank as you'd guess, but I think it's fairly obvious who left it

Just working on getting the rest of my rep out...

I think I'm starting to get attached to the mouse over on my rep point display. "Groove75 is the one that you love to hate" , lol.
