So I just got a Lenovo Yoga 13. This is my review.
As what I primarily do is writing and programming, having a good keyboard is critical for me, which is why a tablet alone can’t work for me, and...
I have owned dozens of laptops in a variety of brands, and had many different laptops provided for my use at work. Without question, this is the finest I have owned. The Alienware M17x R2 is a...
Lenovo Thinkpad W530 Review

One of the longest and most enduring brands in computers is Thinkpad. Originally developed by IBM in the USA, Thinkpad notebook computers are now...
One thing I also forgot CS, when it installs again you need to browse to - C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash, and then execute a file there called "FlashUtil9b.exe". This will update the client with the necessary Vista signatures needed to work properly, and should also make the overall program a little more stable. Good Luck!
Gotcha. Well understood there, lol. Its simple really... to get what I have all you really have to do is download the ISO that JuanLU posted in the Unlocked Bios thread stickied at the top of the forum. Use it to boot like you did with the stormlifter ISO. Was your card a rev.0 or rev.1? If you aren't sure, just go to the display properties panel (right click the background, then personalize) and choose "Display Settings". Click on the Advanced Settings button. From there, your BIOS Information will be available on the "Adapter" tab.
If yours says 5.71.22.16.13, then its a revision 0 card and you will want to use the 790GTXUN.ROM. You will need to input the command just like this "nvflash.exe -4 -5 -6 -y 790GTXUN.ROM" only without the quotes
If your BIOS version is 5.71.22.28.01, then its a rev.1 card and you should use the 791GSUNV.ROM. You will only need to use this command "nvflash.exe 791GSUNV.ROM" to make this one work.
The rev.1 card bios above will allow to get the core overclocked to about 600mhz, but the memory will be limited to 600mhz also because Juan hasn't 'optimized' the memory for that particular bios yet. If you use the GTX BIOS for the rev.0 card then you can hit 600/800 in most circumstances.
Thanks krayziepop, thats good info so wish me luck and i'll be back if all goes ok!
Thanks for the info on the mice guys. I'll check them out next time I hit up Best Buy, or wherever.
I could also use a new 'gaming' keyboard for my desktop. I like the cool LCD on the G15, but that thing is HUGE! It would take up 85% of my keyboard tray; leaving very little room for mouse movement. Any suggestions in that dept.?
yeah it was at 450/1100 and the 3dmark05 was 7371, its now with a 7900gtx and at 600/1200 it only reached 100 points more but the temps were under 60c, will have to up the frequencies i think.
Ive messed my vista up at the moment, im using xp. I managed to get 8672 in 3dmark05. 600/1472 im going to leave at that i think as 620 gives me artifacts and higher memory at this core clock locks me up. My temps didnt go over 79c so would you say that is ok?
Oh yes, that is very ok! Good work on the stable flash too! Sucks though that your memory is locking up at the higher clockspeeds. Could have to do with drivers still. I would have expected your system to get closer to 9000 points really. You may just have to try some different drivers to get one that will peak out the performance for ya. Anyway, looking good man! Welcome to the 7900GSX club!
I had my memory at 1600 but the core had to be 538 ish and it was ok for 10 mins of artifact testing, i thought a higher core would be more benificial.
