Battlefield 2 - Page 2

For you fellas looking for a place to play, ForgottenOnes.net is running a 32 man BF2 server

67.18.100.58

Or for a place to play on Ranked servers, check out Insomnia365's BF2 servers. (Search Insomnia in the in-game search). Those servers are run by the datacenter that FO's server is in

I was enjoying a game of BF2 just right now, until the game exited to desktop... no error... no nothing. Strange
But overall the game is quite fun and offers a lot of different ways to play, which is very nice, allowing the game to not grow old quickly. I figure I'll be playing this game awhile.

I just got 40 bucks in Breast Buy reward points so I guess I have to spend it on something. BF2 is a good as anything.

Nope, not going to work. I mean, you could try, but under the requirements it says broadband

You have to login to play, yes. I haven't tried doing single player offline, but I do believe that you have to login to get to anything.

ok dialup is 23 dollars a month if you have AOL, DSL from verizon is 28. for 5 dollors more you can get a 3mb connection.

I keep getting booted to desktop too...sucks. I mostly freeze in the middle of the game though, with a high pitched noise coming from the speakers...blah EA games!

Verizon DSL is not in my area trust me I would get it.

I have been enjoying the game as well. If there is a NF clan started, count me in.

no the game is not only online, there is a single player, but no story or anything. just you and 60 bots running around aimlessly. sounds like me when i take shrooms. did i say that out loud? just pretend like i didnt say that last part or the squirrels will come looking for me

Hey does this game work well with the x800...Sorry to bring this topic up again if it has already been brought up.

I bought the game but I am weary about installing it.

works well when it doesnt freeze the entire computer...EA is having issues.
are they planing on releasing a patch for it?
There will be a patch eventually. Alien_Head, you should be fine. Install it. its a great game. We gotta get a game going on the NBF Battlefield server.

i have the x850 and it runs smoothly on it so i dont see why it wouldnt run well on the x800 it just takes forever for the maps to load this is probably one of the games where the x800 512 or the 6800512 would be put to good use the maps are huge so i guess thats y it takes FOREVER to load

I just picked up Battlefield 2, maybe you guys can help me out.

It keeps getting stuck on the very first Battlefield 2 screen...and hasn't gone past that point. So I try downloading the latest Nvidia drivers (77.72) and while installing them, it says "The Nvidia setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now close" so, I downloaded Omega drivers and it still doesnt work.

By the way, I have a 5500m with a go5700 Nvidia card.

Any help is appreciated.
