Performance of the Inspiron 510m

Thread Starter
I have a friend who wants to get a laptop, and they don't want to spend a lot. I have been looking at the 510m for them, and was wondering what the performance of this machine is.

It seems to be the 600m without the ATI graphics but with a firewire port. It looks pretty good for the basic stuff (Internet, email, ms office).

What do you guys think??

Yup a good choice for a non-gaming, non-photo editing notebook. Though I think it's a little bigger than 600m since it can have a 15" lcd.

I am going to get an Inspiron 510m from my brother.
Iam already using an AMD Athlon XP 2000 Desktop PC.
Occassionally I do image editing & multimedia apps ( Flash & all)
In my desktop all thse apps are working smoothly.
Can I get the same/better experience with Inspiron 510m?
(It is a centrino processor with 512 MB ram & built in Inter gfx)
Plz advice.
