Rick, will this have 64 or 128 gpu?

Thanks

Also - is that asus desktop replacement with the nvidia 256mb gonna be anything like the W2?

I was wondering the same thing, 64 mb or 128 mb x700? Im assuming because of all the hype that its 128.

Also can anyone tell me what the difference between this laptop and the Acer Ferrari 4000 series is (the 4005WLMi). Im trying to decide between these two laptops since money isnt a problem (been saving forever for the laptop i have to order for college this august).

the Z70v comes as a barebone, so reseller will have to add in the components themselves.. this ensures high quality components and very customizable.. If the x700 is a 128mb version then it is practically same as the Ferrari 400x but just differenet brand.. i've heard the Ferrari 4000 screen has sparkles tho..

Wish I'd bought accidental damage insurance on my M6...

Now would be a good time for it to be "accidentally" run over by a car

The Ferrari has a Turion... is that not the major difference?

The W2V is scheduled to receive the X700 video card when its released. The new ASUS desktop replacement will have the Go6800 256mb video card installed. The desktop replacement is scheduled to be available late July. The unit weighs in at roughly 9 pounds, this weight includes the battery and optical drive. From what I understand, this unit will be available in 15.1" and 15.4". The 15.1 is scheduled to have the glossy LCD, while the 15.4 will be the matte LCD. Anyone needing more info just email us.

I think I am going to purchase this laptop, but I have a few questions. I am going to purchase the 1.6 cpu because I want to save money, is this component easily upgradable? And also, if I order the laptop without any memory, will I void the warranty if I install a stick myself?

Damn everyone is buying this thing...

Yes, the CPU is one of the components that is readily upgradable. As for the memory deal, you'll have to look at the ISTNC (or whomever you're buying from) website's warranty..I'm not exactly sure on that.
