How long does the battery last b-4 recharging? Like if im watching a movie or playing games or using Photoshop realisticly how much battery time is there??
and if i chose to replace the HD 5400rpm with one HD 7200rpm would i see a reduction in battery time or anything else??
i read on some specs that ferrari 4000 the higher end one has crystalbrite and some specs and noted by acer canada sales that it doesnt have crystalbrite???? Im confused..

It looks (from posts in this forum) as if the battery can last from 2-3 hours under standard usage. I think most 7200rpm drives don't use that much more power than the 5400rpm ones, so the difference would be small. You could probably more than recoup that loss by getting the mt-37 processor. It looks like the high end version has a matte screen and the lower end version (due out later) will have the crystalbrite screen.

I'm guessing it'll last 150-180 minutes watching a movie, 100~150 playing games, and maybe 2.5+ hours using photoshop.

Prolly with WiFi off, dim screen settings, BT off, etc.

In my review my Ferrari 4000 lasted 2 hours. This was with power managment set to 'portable/laptop'. I was watching a DVD browsing the web with wirless on and the screen was at full brightness and volum turned on to the max.

my notebook with athlon 4000+ lasted 4 hours on a 12 cell battery that is 3 hours on a 9 cell that I think is what acer is carrying (not sure though). ANd turion has a better battery life so I think with wi-fi on ,brightness set to 0 ,power settings on max battery , a bit of surfing with music will get you around 4 hours to 4-30 max. dont even think of 5 or more.
