if you want it to remember your settings, just quit the program, then open it back up and the settings should be saved for good. If you just restart it, it will just revert to the setting it had when it opened up.

Is it possible to undervolt memory?

I explain why I'm asking that: DDR333 and DDR400 are 2.5-2.6v memories, DDR2 used in notebooks with Pentium-M is 1.8-1.9v memory. Turion ML-37 is 1.35v (or at least it should be), Turion MT-37 is 1.2v and Pentium-M 1.8 is 1.3v. By looking at these numbers is easy to conclude that a notebook with Turion will drain more battery not because of the processor (only 0.05v difference with ML-37) but because of the memory (0.7v difference). When I found out that those numbers I realised why AMD is changing their processors to use DDR2 memory next year even though those memories have higher latency and no bandwidth gain under 533 MHz compared to DDR1.

I haven't heard of anyone undervolding memory before or if there is even a tool that can do it.

As for the benifits, it might be minimal at best. Memory isn't a big a power users than the CPU.

Hi..
I have a problem with my laptop F-4005, when I use the media player (or winamp) in audio streaming over the internet (with max volume) and in the same try to open/close, delete or any command the laptop halting for (4-5 seconds) and then completes the command.. I installede the windows xp pro again, have it updated to the latest update.. and I hade all the laptop parts and bios latestly updated.. and I was not running too many programs,, it is enough for the media player on streaming and with loud volume to make the laptop freezes..
I know some about software but I tried to solve this problem and the way to solve it is when I make the volume low the laptop operates OK,,,
PLzz is it some problem with the sound card or Proccessor?? Do u think this method of undervolting will work?

For your knowledge,, many Ferrari 4000 useres complain from the bad quality of the sound card!!

so what program do i need to undervolt my ferrari 4005? and can i overclock it?

i use clockgen.
Is easy to underclock to 0.950 4x.
I assign a function button for this and never has a problem
Dont forget underclok the video card. This give you more time

How does clockgen compare with rmclock?

Is there a solution to get the ferrari stable when running on DC?

I found out that all you have to do is put your power management to automatic management. Minimal/Maximal modes tends to freeze the computer

For me are more stable and seems more simple program to configure.
In my old F3400, RM gives me trouble.

New version of RMClock?

Hi everyone!

Just installed the new version of RMClock (V2.15) and noticed that all my voltages were 0.1V lower than when I did my last posts in this thread.. It now shows 0.9V@4x and 1.35V@10x. My F4005 was not stable at these voltages when I used the previous version. I think this must be because RMClock calculates the voltages more correctly now - probably due to a new "calibration" of the RMClock software. It seems that RMClock may have been seriously updated and therefore may be more stable. I'm going to attemt undervolting again to see if it's more stable.

Mines is nice and stable been using the new version as well, Min is 0.8v@4x and Max is 1.0v@8x, I use performance on demand. No problems at all and buy buy mega heat, idles at 33c and hits 48c at full load, great tool.

I wasn't so lucky... Mine appears stable when undervolting in Prime Torture, but eventually it freezes or shows the BSOD . It never does this when I'm not running RMClock. I think I'd be better off buying a new battery (is now at 47% wear level) to get more DC-time.

My acer TM4404 has the ML34 and I was able to undervolt to 9X at 1.1V and it helped heat tremendously. The laptops (TM4000 and the Ferrari 4000) are almost identical except CPU speed and video memory. I ran the torture test for 16 hours and no hangups, it is recommended to run the torture test 16-24 to ensure 100% stable settings, it is also best to run all large FFT's as this will stress voltage most. Running the test for a couple of hours doesn't ensure a stable system, that may be why you are crashing in othe areas.

Cheers
