I would like the option of buying the mobo/vid and install it myself! Why would this NOT be an option? I build computers as part of my 'job description' and don't think buying the parts and self installing should be ruled out. Obviously doing it this way would not come with any sort of warranty/guarantee but that is the risk one takes when attempting to do such work.
