XBRITE Screen Proper Care and Cleaning

Thread Starter
Sorry if this has been asked before. What is the best/safest way to clean my XBRITE display? I am worried about scratching it. Is it as delicate as it looks? I have a lot of dust and the canned air just isn't cutting it!

Thanks

About the middle of the page you'll see it mention for the VAIO. Can't take credit for this find, that goes to "thehappyman", but I bought it, and it does work just fine, and NO scratches.

Joeseph - the Xbrite isnt "delicate" - But it's the best screen that money can buy.... (on a laptop)
This screen, by it's very nature, attracts dust.. it's the electrostaic charge... But thats what makes it special...
So, there are a bunch of cleaners you can buy..... Here is a link to the best >>> http://klearscreen.com

http://www.radtech.us/Products/NotebookScreensavrz.aspx

I have one and my friends have gotten them...this cloth is amazing!

Worth the cost.

Also, don't be a dumb ass like me. I was plugging my AC adapter in and when I was moving the adapter around the metal pronged plug slipped...swung down and chipped my screen.

I was so pissed....so pissed

Can you find my chip

What size cloth/protector is recommended for the T150 and S360 series? TIA

I got this one:
Sizes: 26cm x 20cm (12-13.8" std. screen)

Since it is for a Mac...the fit isn't perfect...but good enough for me

Apple Cleaner for the XBrite screen??

Somebody was talking about getting the ApplePolish cloth and cleaner for the XBrite screen from klearscreen. Is that the proper product or is there one of XBrite screens that is better from klearscreen? I think it was happyman that said exactly what he bought, but I can't remember.

What is the difference in the chamois cloths and the microfiber cloths?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Irish - What I ordered to clean my 17" Xbrite was a 5 oz. spray bottle of "iKlear Apple Polish" and an "iKlear Micro-Fiber" cloth (You need them both).

I ordered them from a Company called Meridrew in Ca. (925-838-8774). The two of them cost $20 less shipping.
See their web site at >>>> http://www.klearscreen.com

They really work Great !!!!!!!

Not likely, the special Cloth and iClear Polish lay down an anti-static layer on the LCD which helps propel dust...

Sorry to hear about that! I would...faint I think, if I chipped my friggin' xbrite

I ordered the screen protector you recommended from Radtech... it doesn't even come close to fitting my Sony S460 laptop. The screen protector is just way too small. I measured my laptop's width and the screen protector's width and they're off by almost 2 inches. I've ordered the next step larger screen protector (32cm x 21cm). In measuring my laptop, it looks like it should fit MUCH better than the last one... that one was like trying to hide an elephant under a sheet of paper.

you can now get a shaggymac thats similar to radtech but is cut to exactly to the size of the s-series. I got it and it doubles as a screen wipe, works great.
