1:30 Battery Life on my 9300!?

My 9300 is about a month and a half old and when i first got it, i could run on battery for about 1:50. I thought that was pretty good considering that it was only a 6-cell. But now, I can only get about 1:30 on a full charge. This seems very low. I was wondering what other people are getting out of their 6-cell or 9-cell batteries. Thanks a lot in advance!!!

By using "max battery", setting everything to low power, disabling unused devices, and with undervolted CPU and lowering DVD rpm to 2X, I just for the sake of the experiment played a DVD film continuosly for 3 hours. (To be accurate it was 2 hours 57 minutes). This with a 6 cell battery. Under the same condition a 9 cell battery would give 4,5 hours, of course. Earlier I did the same experiment wilth "mixed use" and got 3 hours and 10 minutes.

As I said it was an experiment, and to actually view the film half-way comfortably I had put out most of the lights in the room, and compensate for the low backlight setting by increasing light and contrast somewhat in the Nvidia menu. I also did not view full screen, but all in all it could be used this way during a long air trip, say. I still could have removed one of the memory chips, and earned a couple of minutes, I suppose...

(before re-charging the battery, I always see that it is emptied to the point that the machine get into stand-by. then I charge it to max without interrrupting. but I have no idea if this has any effect)

9 cell = 3 hours

I would expect the 9 cell to do about 4 hours with cpu undervolting and max battery graphics mode (for the go 6800) and about 1/4 screen brightness.

if using the x300 graphics card you should do 4.5 hrs ez with minimal settings...

I can get around 4 hours on my i9300 with 6800go & 9-cell battery.

Screen Brightness: 3
Video Settings: Battery optimized
CPU Speed: 800mhz
CPU Voltage: .732V

Mobile Meter shows the discharge rate @ around 18-20w ...
