service pack 2 ?

Im getting an i9300 in a few weeks.

What i want to know is will windows xp come with service pack 2 all ready installed.

Every Dell we've bought for the last several months has come with SP2 installed and slipstreamed into the OS CD. Odds are high that you'll have the same thing.

Should be SP2 but there'll be the usual "critical updates" to load from MS.

As of October of last year, all retail versions of Windows XP sold had SP2 integrated into the package.

I'd imagine that OEMs would have had a similar timeline, if not even earlier.

Yup, even the recovery cd which just has the OS and all drivers has SP2 built in. I recomend you format to take all the extra dell crap
