Benchmarks to prove this? so far I've seen none, exept for the ones from the same website of the benchmarks posted here, which have P-Ms destroying Turions.
You people see AMD market share growth, and think its coming off Intel's skin, its not, AMD is getting more market share out of the market's growth, but Intel's sales have also boosted, because the market is growing, AMD just sells more than before because they have new customers, not because of people shifting to AMD. AMD is getting more customers than Intel out of this market growth
You could argue that many laptop makers are moving to Turion, but seriously.. more brands doesn't mean better sales, Acer, Compaq, Asus, and MSI, Compaq/HP being their biggest seller, but still, they have mostly Intel models. While Intel has Dell, and Toshiba(mostly) and other small brands comparable to the ones AMD has, and that's enough to keep Centrino afloat if AMD happened to pass Intel in Notebook sales(which I doubt).
The market isn't shifting, its growing, the first thing AMD should do if they want to reach, or even pass intel, would be to fire their whole marketing department, and then hire some of you guys, that alone would make Intel tremble.
