Battlefield 2

Need Help!

I just bought Battlefield 2, I’m brand new to the franchise. I was wondering if you could tell me what settings work best for my XPS 2 (1 gig RAM).

If you could let me know what to have on high, med etc, that would be awesome! I want to have the best visual performance without sacrificing the FPS. I noticed that there where dark patches on the grass and the play was a little choppy when I configured myself.

Also, what about the nvidia drivers they have on the disk, I have driver version 7.2.0.1 from the Dell site, is this the best?

Thanks in advance!!! And maybe I’ll see ya online (currently playing Guild Wars, CSS, and now BF 2)

Peace

i have an i9300 and i play with everything on high except textures. If i put textures on high, it pauses to load all the time.... I dont thinks this is a hardware issue as much as a ram issue (I hava 1 gig). This game is a ram hog... Im sure your xps 2 can do at least this... and if you feel lucky.. try textures on high... Also, i have anti-aliasing at 2x (4x seemed blurry).. lots of ppl with the wuxga screen dont even use anti-aliasing. resolution doesnt seem to be much of a performance issue... i use 1440x900 or 1280x1024 because thats what my LCDs are..

right click on your BF2 desktop icon >> properties >> then add "+szx 1440+szy 900" to the end of the target.. so it should look like this.

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1440+szy 900"

then apply, and start up bf2.
