Fans not running at startup?

I read somewhere at this forum that my fans are supposed to run at bootup, is this right?

My fans doesnt run at startup (the cdrom is spinning up, nothing else).

I tried to reset my BIOS and update it but it only helped me at the first bootup after the BIOS-reset.

depends on how long ur system is off before turning them on. if i had my system off all nite and turn it on in the morning...the fan doesn't start up.

Well, test this by running your system for a while.. gaming and such, then power down. Go grab a beer or three and then come back in and power up. Make sure it's not left by an air-conditioning register (so it doesn't get abnormally cold very fast).

Feel it, see if it's still nice and toasty/warm. Then fire it up and listen for the fans.


OR: skip the beer part, wait about 10 seconds and fire it up again...
