Thanx Strange Species.
It was little bit risky...I used screwer to take spacebar away and put it above the small fire to make it soft.Just for few seconds. And when I put it back it was straight.Maybe it is manufacturer faulty, because like I saw in this forum couple of guys got it as well.

lol, above a flame? Well that's one way of doing it I suppose. Wonder if a hair dryer would work.

Also, can the Intel ProWireless 2200 802.11b/g card be replaced with the better ProWireless 2915 802.11a/b/g manually if needed?

What sort of a range (distance) and speed can you get with the standard 2200b/g installed?

Yes hair dryer could be fine.
I've got one more question for you guys?
I realised that when my laptop is starting and win XP begins on my laptop cooler goes on.The main problem is that it takes couple of seconds to see main desktop screen and then the cooler switch of.If I'm going straight to Start-Settings-Control Panel-System it shows me only processor speed at 790Mhz and after wail normal speed 1,73.....
Is it possible somehaw change it...that it will works on 100% straight on starup...or that my cooler doesn't start on beginning..?
And what graphics card drivers are you using for playing games? Link?
Thanx a lot...
Not sure about the CPU/Fan thing. There's an option in the bios, something about a long battery life mode. Try enabling/disabling that, see if it makes a difference.

For graphics drivers, check out www.laptopvideo2go.com. You can download the latest drivers with their patched .inf files.
I've got nvidia 77.77 drivers but I can't download patched .inf file for my graphics card.
I'm using my original driver now or I tryied omega drivers 1.6693.
What do you thing:Which is best to use?How can I get that .inf file into install files and install it?

Hi all,
About to buy a Fujitsu Siemans Amilo 3438G but my only reservation is the lack of integrated bluetooth (ive got a bluetooth mouse). I have a dongle but I dont like parts sticking out asking to get snapped off!

The problem is the FS uses one of those new Expresscard slots rather than PCMCIA and no matter how hard I look it seems there are no bluetooth devices that use Expresscard on the market.

Does anyone have an idea when these might eventually come out or if theres any other way of integrating bluetooth? I know about getting a bluetooth SD card and putting it in the slot but I'd rather keep it free if possible (so I can freely plug in my nokia 6230's SD card). any ideas?

Is the CPU in the Fujitsu over-clockable?

Can anyone please do a screen grab of the BIOS pages?

Much apprec'
There are not much notebooks that are overclockable from the BIOS, just because they don't want notebooks back with overheating damage.
Yeah, I'm more interested in overclocking the CPU for more realtime mathematical/processing type uses.

I'm not a gamer, and thus I will actually be underclocking/disabling the 6800 GPU as much as possible to give me better overheads all round (less heat, less noise, greater battery life, etc.) and to give me more leeway for optimising other aspects.

I know of one guy who overclocked his 2.13GHz PM to 2.4GHz and remaining fully stable and well within heat/stress limits. So much so he actually sells that configuration in his professional shop.

*crack of thunder*

It has arrived!

Muhahahahahaha!

Anywho, it was 2 days early (like before).

This worked for me,
http://www.drivercleaner.net/

1. install drivercleaner program.
2.Uninstall your current drivers, do not reboot.
3. remove all your nvidia files from your computer using drivercleaner, including the place where the original FS-nvidia files/folders are located. Do all this before you restart the comp. Otherwise the first thing that will happen is that it uses the default driver, which are modified so you cant install newer drivers.
4. after restarting, the system will not find any driver for the GPU.
5. Now , try clicking on the setup file from the new drivers like 77.72.
6. if it still complains, try update driver from the device manager in control panel. locate graphics card and update driver, click have disk already and locate the inf. file in your unzipped nvidia folder.

I know it´s an easier way to do this. Heard about some modified .inf file solving this issue.

sry for the bad english

I read your post once again, hmm. Are you trying to install newer drivers like the 80.xx or? the patched .inf file is that one solving the problem.

www.fujitsu-siemens.com has updated the drivers page with fresh new graphics driver and new bios. Try them out and please report results.
I've installed those new 77.77 drivers .Everything works fine.
I've tested new drivers from fujitsu-siemens web page, but I think those 77.77 works perfect.Tested on FarCry.Maybe it's just my opinion.
Question: If you are using 77.77 drivers my fan is still on...even if only Win XP working...not playing game....is it normal?
Because when I'm just surfing on internet I would like to get quiet laptop like with original drivers....Is it possible change it?

The Fujitsu drivers are version 78.10. Why do you not try them before you tear the computer apart

You do know that Forceware 77.77 is basically a DESKTOP driver. Of course, if you have downloaded a modded INF file from laptopvideo2go or something it's another story. I'm no expert in these matters but I do know that the newest mobile Forceware is still 77.70. Those newer drivers are for desktops although they can be made compatible to notebooks when you download a modded INF file and install it along the driver correctly. On the other hand, my friend had the same kind of fan problem with 77.70 (which is supposed to be a mobile Forceware driver) so this could be tricky...

By the way, does anyone else have difficulties finding the driver updates from Fujitsu-Siemens website. When I click 'downloads' and then choose the correct model (M3438G) I get a blank page. I tried this with two different browsers. One possibility is that my firewall does not 'show' me the downloads for some reason. Or the other reason could be that this download section only works with F-S products (I haven't got my M3438G yet so I've tried to look what downloads there are before hand with my HP/Compaq). Of course then there's the DESKUPDATE or AUTOUPDATE (in the F-S website) or whatever which searches your F-S product for the latest driver updates. Obviously I need to have F-S notebook for that.
