Removing Scratches from a Monitor

Alright, this is really annoying me.

I have a Samtron 78DF. Which I dragged home over the week-end for a lan party, which I ended up not going too.

Somehow, a small scratch got on the screen, actually looks more like it rubbed against something screwing I guess what is a an anti-glare coating.

Any ideas on what I can do to rub out this imperfection, or should I just deal with it till I get another new monitor?

If you rub the scratched area, you risk losing more anti-glare coating. Not to mention, you'll end up with a huge spot that reflects light.

Maybe get one of those anti-glare things that hangs on monitors? That should keep it from your attention when you're fraggin'.

I've been looking at it more and more. I guess I can live with it, for now.

Doesn't really bother me while I'm a fraggin.

there is a product by meguiars (they make a pretty decent car wax) called mirror glaze. it is a plastic cleaner/polish that i originally bought for cleaning and getting rid of small scratches on my motorcycle helmet's face shield. i use it occasionally on my monitors and it never harmed the iridium finish on my face shield. if the scratch is too deep, you may do more harm than good by trying to buff it out though.
