hey i have ordered a Sentia and i am waiting for it to arrive and i was thinking of getting one of the DVB pcmcia cards to watch freeview tv(UK) and also i want to add a 3g office internet card at teh same time. The sentia only has one slot and i was wondering if there was an adaptop which can attach both and plug into one slot?
Thanks

I've checked the internet and all of the accessory shops I know of and can't see anywhere that sells such a thing. I hope you find one.

You can use a USB adaptor like the D-LinkĀ® DWL-G122 Wireless USB Adapter, they're about the same size of a thumb drive and connect to the USB port leaving your PCMCIA port free.

One of the reasons why you cannot find a "PCMCIA port doubler" is because of voltage limitations and port sharing/bandwidth limitations. Having two PCMCIA cards sharing the same slot could either overload the voltage capacity or cause conflicts since the two cards will be "fighting" for the resources/bandwidth of the same port which could cause them to slowdown or a system crash if used at the same time.

Can't find any at the moment, but yours is an interesting proposal.

Perhaps this may help but I'm not sure:

Yeah saw those but I can't find anywhere that says that it will take standard PCMCIA cards for communication only storage and digital camera cards. Perhaps you should ask them and see if it will work for you.
