Sound Recorder - 'Please Help'

Thread Starter
Hi team,

I am after a 'sound recorder' program I can use to record 'audio playback' like from a CD or DVD etc. I am wanting to record the sound that is emitted whilst it is playing.

I used to have a sound recorder program that came with my Creative Sound Blaster Audigy card. It was part of the software.

I have lost this CD.

Can anybody advise on how I could obtain it, or a similar recording program?

Thanks.

I remember seeing something like that - a program that records any sound that the operating system makes "internally".

I've used quite a few sound recorder programs. Check out www.download.com

They are all trials and most of them have sound limits of like 3min, but you can make the file, pause what you are listening to, then start up a new 3min. Then just patch them together in Goldwave or something similar. You can setup the programs to record from your output channel. I think I searched for sound recorder and found quite a few hits. Just read over the descriptions and find one that you think would work the best.
