According to BenKurtz' thread, the internal wireless is an Acer Warplink miniUSB-300, so I went the rpm route and installed the base package and the kernel-wlan-ng-usb-0.2.0-7.i686.rpm from here (I'm using the 2.4.20-8smp i686 kernel), but on startup I'm told that a prism2_usb device cannot be found, am I doing something wrong? If anyone could do a brief linux newbie's guide on getting the wlan working I'd be greatful, I still live in fear of having to recompile the kernel

Some vaguely related questions, on my wired ethernet configuration I've noticed IRQ and most of the other hardware details are blank, I'm using the r8196 driver that installed itself and the connection is working perfectly as far as I can tell, just a bit curious as to why no IRQs / DMAs etc are set. The other question is about configuring the wireless connection, there's a lot in the readme about rc.local and wlan.conf, but I dont know what to use for netmask and broadcast so I commented these out, I'm new to wireless neworking too, thanks for any help on these.
