What options do I have if I've lost my BIOS password? Will flashing it work?

Don't really know. Best bet is to contact Sager and see if they can help. There is a very lary warining about setting this and forgetting the password. I suspect that this will be a very big problem for you.

Unless they have specially hard coded a backdoor password into the BIOS in anticipation of this type of problem, you'll have to cut the power to the BIOS. There's almost certainly a jumper for it somewhere on the motherboard, but there's a good chance it's hidden behind other components and therefore not user accessable.

just get a flash utility and flash it with the current bios, it should reset everything.

Odd thing is I flashed the BIOS, and it asked me for a password *after* I flashed it.

Now I usually use one password for everything, I'm surprised it didn't work. This is odd.

Case-sensitive? Try the password in ALL CAPS.

Oh I've tried, many many times, caps, no caps... I think I may just have to RMA for this one.

Great... Just when you think things could not any worse.

I removed my CMOS battery hoping to reset the BIOS, waited 10 mins, and put it back in. Now the computer won't even start up. I get no screen or anything. Power goes on but my screen is black.

Is the battery in tight and is the right side facing up.

Exactly what I was about to suggest, but I see what it does for laptops now. Try reseating it the battery like he said.

I had that problem with a computer i got for free along time ago. I forget the name of the program but you run it in windows and it will tell you the bios password. google for bios password should get you close to finding something to help.
