im not really a gamer, but the few times that ive tried them i noticed that the video is choppy or it freezes. it doesnt happen unless im using a game so im sure it must be the video driver. i bought a 5660 in january and installed the drivers off the cd that came with it. i havent messed with them since. where can i find the most current drivers? do i have to install all drivers leading up to the most current, or do i uninstall the old ones when i install the new ones. im going to be going overseas in a month for about 4 months and wont have acess to the internet to do these things but i want to be able to play games. sorry im not really up to all this driver stuff so all the help i can get i would appreciate. thanks people.

You can peruse the "official" drivers here under NP5660 of course. Looks like video and a few others have been updated since Jan. Check for readme files in the extracted drivers. In most cases you can just run setup, or go to the device in Device Manager, right-click, and click update, browsing to the location of the new drivers. (It usually wants to see an INF file associated with the drivers.) Some suggest you uninstall ATI Control Panel and ATI drivers before an update.

When all that's done, and if you're still choppy when gaming, look at closing all unnecessary background apps and SysTray apps before gaming. Also try lowering your Res to 1024x768.

Good luck! ...and keep us posted.
