My fridge magnet tacked to my wall is reading 82 degrees... I dont know how accurate that thing is tho.

I got a reboot in BF2, but I got random reboots in games sometimes before I ever started flashing.... so I don't think its my OCing.

I almost got that high myself..about 86.

Ok Keep in mind that if you have not opened you laptop up lately you probably have a good amount of dust & fuzz blocking some of the cooling fins on the inside. I opened mine again after 2 months to check Artic Silver 5 on the CPU and GPU and found mess of fuzz on the copper fines on the inside that were note visable from the outside. This after working in a very clean environment.

Surely cleaning this stuff out periodically will help you run cooler. Also Artic Silver5 keeps my temps hovering around mid 80's

I know ATi Tool heats the crap out of your card..

I also hover around 80 in games.

So, who is leaving their clocks at 487/1200?

I assume the same thing is accomplished setting it to max performance on the powermizer panel.

What I'm asking is what voltage do you want beyond 1.3?
Well, its the best I could do...sorry. I hope there is a way to really increase the voltages.

How high do you think the 6800go could go with a voltage increase without blowing up ?

I'm still running 525/1250 playing BF2 with no issues all day.

Hovering around 80.

and how were they before? it seems like XPS2 temps in this board vary significantly..
Well people who say they are at 50 ish are not recording their temps. You see the second you quit or Alt Tab out of a game the GPU instantly cools off by 10~20 degrees. With each second that passes it gets closer to its normal temps of 50ish. The only way to know exactly how hot your card is getting is to use Riva Tuners Hardware Monitor as it records temps on a graph and you can review them when you your done testing.

For people who had problems finding partition magic, or any other program out there that has the same functionality, one thing you can do is, if you followed the instructions on the first page talking about bcd. You can save the modded bios files into the folder c:\bcd\cds\cdromsi\files that way you dont need a FAT partition and any other program, the problem with that, is that you cant save your original bios. I didthis myself with 0 problems I saved all the modded bioses from cornholio into the boot cd itself, I didnt save my original bios because im never gona use it again. So if you dont think you will need the original bios, and you cant seem to get a hold of partition magic or any other partition management software, simply burn the bios into the cd.
Have fun with your 6K club 6800Ultras.

By the way, I know im not the highest, but just to let u guys know, mine hit 6100 with the 512-1250 clocks
post #315 of 427
Good point. I and others have a copy of the original bios or you can just mod yours back to stock. If anyone needs the orginal just PM me with an email addy.

I'm not quite hitting the 6K barrier in 3DMark 2005.

I'm running with 512 core 1200 memory at quality setting of the 77.30 driver and have only 5876 3DMarks. Most of the background applications are stopped.

Question is how do you get your 6100? I know you run it a tad higher but I figured the rate of increase and I won't hit 6100 for sure on 512C 1250M. What driver are you using and is it set for "quality settings" in the driver?

Cheers,
Alex
