asus z71v doom 3 fps ?

i wana get the thinest and fastest laptop for the buck that plays doom 3 and is capable of linux .

so far the asus z71v looks good compared to the runners ups of acer 8104 and ferrari 4000

can anyone tell me what they get in doom 3 at wat rez etc etc...

asus z71v is only 1.4" compared to the acer at 1.2"
its a fair trade off for a nvidia card(linux runs best with nvidia, .2" is worth it)

Hah, sorry I cant answer your question but I thought you said you got 3 fps in doom 3 on your z71v.... After reading it again i realized what it reallymeant

that is ****n perfect, for a laptop all i need

can u explain the screen "sparkle" ive heard yet not seen , from my understanding it would just look brighter ? no effect on visual eye strain correct ? i plan on staring at it constantly to tell u the truth

You have to stare at bright solid colours like bright green or white.

the "sparkle" is a slight graininess or unevenness of color on solid white or light-colored backgrounds. Regarding eyestrain, I wear glasses, and I've used my computer for 6+ hour long periods. No eyestrain whatsoever.
