Ok, Yagiska in the dell forums has been able to successfully able to flash his 6800go and has written up a 'how to' to flash the bios, it is really simple. What I am asking of you guys is to please send me a copy of your bios, it takes all of 15 minutes to do and you will help many many 6800 ultra owners on this forum. Thank you very much for your time Hope you hear from you all soon.

Here is the link, just follow the instructions, then send me your bios!

my email is shoman24v@yahoo.com

You will need to create a FAT partition for me. I’m sure you can get a copy of Norton partition manager somewhere. Just make the partition 7.8 megs.

HOW TO if you cannot understand the CD site.

First things first DL the NVflash program here http://downloads.guru3d.com/download...f76328ba269048

Create a folder in your C: and call it bcd, the path should read C:\bcd

-Download this http://www.nu2.nu/download.php?sFile=bcd111.zip

Unpack the BCD package to C:\bcd

-Download this ftp://ftp.nero.com/tools/wnaspi32.dll and copy it into C:\bcd\bin\ directory. (Put it in the bin folder)

-Download this http://www.nu2.nu/download.php?sFile=bfd107.zip Unpack BFD in the same directory as BCD, for example C:\bcd

-Download this http://www.nu2.nu/download.php?sFile=cdromsi.zip and unpack it into the same folder as where you have installed BCD/BFD C:\bcd

Basically all that stuff goes in the ‘bcd’ folder. Once you have downloaded and installed the items in its correct folders unzip the NVFlash program. Place the two files that are zipped in the "C:\bcd\cds\cdromsi\files" folder. Once that is created go to Start, run and type CMD
Once the command prompt is open type "cd c:\bcd" It should take you to the c:\bcd directory. Once in the directory type ‘bcd cdromsi’ (no quotes) insert a blank CD-R into the CD drive and then hit enter. It will burn the bootable CD for you.

Reboot the PC and get to your boot menu. Boot off of the CD. If it asks you how you want to boot just keep hitting enter do not change the options. Soon you will get to an R:\
Prompt. Type ‘nvflash –c’ this will check to see if your EEPROM is supported. Once verified type ‘nvflash –b c:\orig.rom’ this will create a copy of your video bios. Once you have created a copy type ‘nvflash –k c:\orig.rom’ and it will compare the bios of the card to the copy. They should match. Once the bios have been created you can go into your FAT partition and it will be there.

And of course do not type the quotes.

Email me your bios.

Also when you create a copy please verify that the bios match

nvflash -k c:\yourbiosname.rom

Supposition would suggest you are speaking of the video bios (and not the machine bios), correct?

If the latter (or anyone else interested), you might look here.

All I have to bribe a 9880 owner with is rep. if you get us that bios.
I would certainly volunteer if I had access to an NP9880.

I can however volunteer to host the bios file (once a user steps forward) for any user who might wish to have said file.

There you go folks, $5.00 via paypal for a simple bios copy! You can use that $5 and buy yourself a fastfood meal! Maybe we can rely on the generosity of someone at PC Torque to do it for us? I'll be your future customer if you do!

I would but I have no FAT partition on my HD, wonder if this would work to a USB Flash disk? I may try it out tonight for you if no one else has done it by then.

BTW my stock 3dmark is 100 higher on my 9880 than your xps2, fyi =)

Please try bro, thank you very much! Be sure that when you make the copy that you verify it, it's in the instructions in the beginning.

Do you not have a floppy with your 9880s? If so can you use a boot disk from the floppy?
