What is wrong with Dell? - Page 11

Guys if you feel better for being able to put up a pretty picture and prove that my ability to come up with a good metaphor is lacking then good for you.

But if you want to really score some points show that the general quality of Dells is more then just average.

Otherwise your just a bunch of Punk Fanboi' s.

Back up your beliefs with facts not passion, This isnt church.

Sorry but that and a $1.50 will get you a ride on a subway.

Instead of trying to get personal and show how good you are at insulting how about proving me wrong.

I say Dells are middle of the road systems that use generic electronics prove me wrong. Get the serial numbers and manufactors of all the major parts and show that they are the top of the line.
Prove you wrong? Ok

i agree most notebooks of dell look cheap n there build quality is not upto the required mark

but if u go for a I 9300 , no no wait , i must talk abt Xps gen 2 , its an awesome notebook by dell and the build quality is way too high just like AW 7700 ....

dell's poor sumwhr n at the same time excell at sumthings....

at 1 time there customer service can seem to b v.poor but at times u'll say wow if it wasnt dell , i would have been screwed

Well thats a start of course most serious computer users could careless if you can play Half Life or not.

Also show me heat and battery usage to prove that the extra graphics power is usefull for someone that accually takes their notebook away from there moms basement.

NVIDIA GeForce Go 6800 Ultra with PCI Express (256MB)

Manufacturer NVIDIA =) Serial number 6800GtownzU

Please eat your own words here and list something that proves Dell is truly a middle of the road design, since these are your claims after all.

We don't have to prove to you that our laptops rock. You have to prove to us that they DON'T. And so far, you suck at it.

Now pardon me, while this "punk fanboi" (clever spelling by the way, it really places you into the intellectual elite with such creative jargon) takes this 8 pound 17" Laptop with 2.5 hours of battery life and top-of-the-line performance on the road with him.

You may like to refer to this Dell as a "Ford Focus", but I'd be willing to stack it up and watch it blow past any "Ferrari," even the new model.

Well, I think the main problem is that you are a bunch of youg adults with alot of time to waste playing games.

When you need a computer to take to Iraq or Kosovo you will realize 3d shadowing isnt all that important.

Dells are good gaming machines but that is one of the least important things a computer can be used for.

and......how does this relate to proving that dell's are average at best and meant for poor and/or cheap people?
stlee get over that statement man your like a broken record.

Well lets see so far the only example of quality that has been specified is a graphics card that is basically only needed for gaming.

I mean come on if you want to game why not get a desk top no notebook can compare to a highend desktop

Lets talk about moblility and ruggedness the two most usefull aspects of a laptop for people that use them for things other then gaming. Dells are just not durable enough to be considered top end.

Do what you want your threats dont really have alot of power since this is a forum not congress.

You can say what you want and attack me but you still dont have any legitimacy.

You want to hang out in your moms basement and play halflife thats cool but that doesnt make you a computer expert.

he doesn't need to answer it because the 6800ultra is only relevant to people in their mom's basement who would never see the lands of Iraq or Kosovo, what laptops are really made for, and not gaming.

so we all are fools for buying laptops for gaming, or other reasons because there are other important purposes for them...heck, i wish i knew this before, i feel like a fool..

I might as well donate my laptop to the SALVATION ARMY. They're an army right? so they must go to Iraq or Kosovo...... ...Then again, they might just reject my laptop because its a DELL and request another brand since it's only made for poor/broke people with 2003 technology.

and the beat goes on....
