You can use the tv program to record in VCD format that Nero will accept... Also, keep in mind that any time you reencode something it takes a lot of time and the quality goes down. One of the biggest problems with using nero to reencode is sound/video sync. It looks like a Chinese kung fu film with audio dubbing :-) This happens regardless of the computer you use, lol, just because the plugins on Nero are not all that great. They're good for an all-in-one program, of course, but not for the big video buff. I had no problems with the tv software record function, so I was happy, but I didn't have to do ANY reencoding. I would go back to the original file, before anythin was done to alter it, and see if the problem is there. If it is, then that's the problem... if it's not, one of the programs/steps you used screwed something up. Make sure you don't multitask while encoding, btw... BAD idea, lol.
