Anyone go from an X300 to the Nvidia on 9300?

In my stupidity, I thought I would like long battery life over graphics performance and got the 128MB X300 rather than the 6800, but find it to be fast as a slug. Many people have mentioned that Dell may sell the Nvidia 6800 Go for around $300 and in one case they credited the old X300 for $150.

Can anyone confirm such a transaction and who best to call at Dell to make this happen? I am still wthin my 21 days so I think I have some leverage (e.g. I will return my 9300 if you don't let me exchange the card, but I am not getting to the right department, I've been bounced around 3 different groups so far).

Any help would be very much appreciated.

If you're a gamer the 6800 Go is definitely for you. I assume you like to play some games, so go for it. I would call customer service and tell them you want to return your 9300 and order one with the 6800 Go. It's that simple. Don't even mess with ordering the 6800 Go and having someone put it in for you. Just get a new laptop. You're still within the 21-day return period.

Since you are within the 21 days, you are probably better off returning the computer and getting a replacement from what I have heard. Good luck.

I'd do that, but I've already pinmodded and don't want to do that again and I have no dead pixels on a WUXGA Samsung and don't want to mess with that. I am on with customer service right now, I'll let you know how it goes. The notebook is pretty easy to get in and out of and the card change out should be a no brainer.

Thanks for your recommendations though, if they don't do it my way returning it will be the only thing I can do...
