Dell Direct Media

What is this? When I hit the buttons ont he front of my 9300 when it is off I get a flash screen that says Dell Direct Media and then Windows boots. What is this?

Dell's impression of Media Center. Works ok and for the most part it is a good attempt. They hotwired its start by holding the media buttons on the front of the 9300. What would be good is if soon they allow the user to hit the buttion and an embedded OS opens and allows you to play music or watch pictures without having to load Windows. It may soon happen, the only question is when.

So other than booting into windows it doesn't do much?
