Buttons on the Dell 6000 + itunes

any ideas how to get the buttons on the front of the I6000D to work with itunes when itunes is minimised to the taskbar? The buttons work with it when itunes is in focus, but thats it. Id like to get them to work when its not in focus/in the taskbar.
Also, anyone know if theres a program to let you configure what those buttons do yet?
Thanks.

It sounds like iTunes' system message handlers are application-wide and not system-wide. English translation: If I'm right, iTunes can only receive commands from those keys when it's active. Otherwise, the commands are dumped in the generic system queue, nothing is active that can handle them, and they get sent to the void.

Unless you can figure out a way to program those keys to send their commands to iTunes specifically, there's probably no way around it unless you can reconfigure iTunes.

Disclaimer: This is a guess. It is only a guess. Had this been an actual answer, I probably would have been wrong anyway.

you have to get this plugin called multi plugin and then go to preferences and click the multi plugin tab and put a check mark in the box where it says use multimedia buttons.

Usually the answer is Logitech's iTouch software (for their keyboards) Works well with my 8600 and most media aps.
