and when Dell releases 7800 Go XPS G3 in a couple of month sell your G2 to me for half price
post #63 of 104
Dell would never piss of its target market by releasing the G3 so close to the G2.

Maybe Christmas as the soonest.

Hey, is it just me, or did they stop it?

Got my order placed, greetings from Colombia!!!!!
okay. now i'm sad. i jumped on the epp deal and now this comes out.
Great deal. Too bad you can't combine it with the EPP discount. Can you?
YOU CAN USE THE 2% ON TOP! hooray!
okay...

if anyone wants to know the rough difference between the epp deal that just passed and this one, i bought two 9300s.

both were roughly 1500 bucks.

the difference in this current 35% off deal is that i would have saved 12 bucks on one laptop, and three bucks on the other.

no big deal... except for the fact that they are giving away free printers! now i want one so bad. what a great value.
can someone explain how to get it to work for the 9300, cause it enters in, but says it cant be applied for some odd reason. im signed in and everything, turned off all other offers...
hihi...
I mentioned this before, but I don't think anyone noticed. For XPS2, your native resolutino is 1920x1200 and I9300 is 1440x900 (if you did not upgrade). Now if you run BF2 with 6800 ultra with 1920x1200 and 1440x900 with 6800 go. How much better can it get? You will probably get the same fps. Now I don't have XPS2, so I am just assuming. And I am looking forward to get a XPS2 with the coupon. But still need some research.

DAMN

Ok,

Today was the day that I was going to place the order for my new XPS!!!
But quess what? I mistiyped my passord 6 times and well... lets just put it
this way. I am locked out for 17 more hours!!!!

Is there anyway that I can call them and get this thing ordered before the
33% off coupon is all used up.

And ya i know "what kind of dip Sh*T typed the wrong passord 6x. Normally
this is not me but today I just was not thinking. (linking about how cool my
XPS Gen2 would be sittling next to me and you get the point).

Anyone PLEASE HELP ME
is there someone that I can call???

O ya my specks would have been
2.0 (thinking of the 2.15, but would it be worth it??)
512 (upgrade to 2g)
80g 7.2rpm
Extra battery
backpack
AC plugin
4year Premium
etc

me sooooo sad
because of this i could probably sell both my old xps2 and 700m and upgrade for little or no money. is it worth all the hassle for an extra dvdrw and a newer laptop???

So the XPS2 is really that much better than a similarly speced 9300? This is perfect, I am JUST about to buy a laptop for school. I want to use it for vid editing, photoshop and some gaming. So i was with this deal, should i go for the 1gig and upgrade to 2 gig or just get 512mb and buy the 2 gig seperate? Also, should I get the most expensive vid card? Also, what are the general opinions on processor speeds? Do they really make that much of a diff? Just looking for system configuration recomendations before I order hopefully tongiht. I am just debating on whether i prefer the xps2 or the subtle looks of other laptops.

Ahhhh, just transfere $2500 from my savings, would like some quick advice!
I really wasn't expecting this coupon until after August so I freaked once I found out about it. I couldn't pass this deal up. Never owned a laptop before so I'm looking forward to it.

I went with the 2 Ghz processor and I ordered the 2 GB of RAM from Newegg. Buying the memory from Newegg saves you like 500 right there. Good luck!
As for the video card, you only have one chioce: GeForce 6800 ULTRA (the best portable video card on the market right now.

So I can upgrade the 512mb to 2gig?

How about the hard drive? Is the 7200rpm really worth it for something like vid editing?
