Acer Ferrari 4000 overclocking vs Travelmate 8100 overclocking

I'm curious as to why the Ferrari has higher clock speeds than the Travelmate 8100. Is it because of heat, or because of a new version of the core, etc?

Anyone who has overclocked the Ferrari to the MAX please post here. The same is true for anyone with 8100 Travelmates.

what exactly is the max and what other card would the max overclock be comparable to?

????

Basically, Max = if you overclock any more, then artifacts appear. "Max" is 100% stable though.

we're comparing X700 in 8100 to X700 in 4000. Basically we want to see if we can just bring up the clocks on the 8100 to match the 4000.

3DMark03 = 5720
6490 (410.06core/344.255mem)

3DMark05 = 2245
2253 (minimal bg tasks)
