FYI...

- Just download the Zip file, extract all files and then run chc.exe.
- Remove any old version of CHC before you install the new BETA.
- CHC needs the Microsoft's .NET Framework, don't forget to install it first.

News and fixes in the BETA 02
- Fixed the problem: CHC shows a wrong Battery Life Time on some system.
- Fixed the problem: CHC resume from standby and set sometimes a wrong CPU clock.
News and fixes in the BETA 01
- The new 1.9 BETA 01 and future releases of CHC do not need an installer.
Just download the Zip file, extract all files and then run chc.exe.
- Add separate custom dynamic switching for AC and DC (with possibility to set a switching delay)
- Add battery life time in the tray icon and calculation if the system does not provide the life time.
- Fixed the chc startup bug on restricted user accounts and keyboard problem on some ACER notebooks.
- Removed crackNT driver, improved program performance and removed some bugs.

Funny, I just installed this yesterday. Not like I was having any problems with 1.8, but the fact that a bunch of extra cruft has been removed is always good.

Yeah me too, ChemBook 2030 though myself. I opted for an Arctic Silver 5 application when I bought it so I'm guessing that whoever applied the AS5 forgot to re-attach the thermo sensor properly.

Is that a credible assumption?

Either that, or it just doesnt have one I would think.

Thanks Enderet, kind of sucks, but at least I can put this to rest. I am a little concerned though because if the cpu temp can't be read, doesn't that mean, that if the cpu temp were to exceed a certain threshold, there is no safety mechanism to shut down the laptop b4 irrepairable damage is done to the chip?
