Intel integrated video

Thread Starter
Looks like my I6000 is going to be here tomorrow. I have only one reservation on my configuration and that is the video. I did not opt for the ATI video, instead keeping the Intel integrated. My main reason is that I do not PC game much anymore, if at all as I opted for an Xbox earlier this year.

However, I'm curious about the performance of the integrated video. I read some information here about decent 3D performance. So, I am wondering if anyone has any benchmarks comparing the Intel video to my current desktop card (GeForce 3 Ti500, 64 MB). Even though it was absolutely the best card available when purchased, it is now several years old. My thoughts are that even integrated video from the current generation will outperform it, or at least come close.

Desktop:
Athlon XP 1800
512 MB
GeForce 3 Ti500

Lappy:
Pent M 1.6 Ghz

Intel integrated

Integrated is about as fast as a geforce 2 mx card. The X300 is about as fast as a Geforce 3 with directx 9 support.
