screen flicker

Hi all,

had anybody with the screen flicker problem have it actually fixed by the factory by sending in the notebook? (74XXgx or m68XX)

I have a brand new 7426gx that after a week of usage developed the screen flicker problem. Although I have the three year warranty, what good is it if they never actually fix the issue?

Well... if you can live with the fact that your laptop will be in the shop a total of about 6 weeks, then it means that the lemon policy will ensure you're always getting a free, current laptop... Sorry, best I could do for silver lining on that cloud...

Yeah, that's what I am afraid of

the worst thing is BB doesn't have anything remotely comparable to the power of this system. Do they just swap it out for the same model of "equivalent"?

Yes. I went from 6809 to 6811 to another 6811 to 7422. I haven't had any problems with my 7422... hinges are smooth, screen is solid,...

No the factory has not been able to fix it. They don't know how. It is absolutly disgusting that this laptop has such a major flaw. Besides the flicker these laptops rule.
