5680 Memory Settings - Slow?!

Hey everyone.

I was doing a few benchies on my 5680, as well as getting details specs of the machine, etc. I get around 4150MB/s with Sandra's memory bench (MAX3 and/or 2004); cant complain. However, using CPU-Z, I discovered that my memory settings are 3/4/4/8 (http://www.mikhailmarkin.com/fun/Ben...Z/memory_1.PNG). Isnt that kind of slow?

Memory Benchmark

Noticed that your modules are made by Kingmax. Mine are made b4/4y Apacer Technology. My timing settings are 2.5/4/4/8. Also noticed that "Performance Mode" is disabled. Is there anyway to enable this feature because it also disabled on my system.

This is weird. Did they just run out of Kingmax modules and start shipping Apacer? Mine was shipped on Sept 10th.

I can live with the .5 latency difference, but just want to know what happened.

Here is how you change your memtimings, it works on my 5660

Memory timing

The reference seems to apply to an Intel 845 chipset. Will this article be relevant to an Intel 865 chipset?

I could go to intels site and check out the specs, but I'm lazy, why dont you check the values and see if they look correct according to you actual memtimings before you do any tweaking? My guess are that it will work for the 80645 chipset too.

I dont really want to do any tweaking; I just want to know if my settings make sense. Can anyone else with a 5680 get CPU-Z and post their memory settings?

if you can't complain then who cares what the timings are?

Because it seems like it has good ram and the settings could have probably been better.

My 5680 is showing Apacer 2.5,4,4,8 using CPU-Z. Sandra 2002 is showing 4339 MB/S.

Damn it, I'm .5 under which translates into 200MB/s. Oh well, LMAO.
